Day 3 – 6 Mar
Today is Jean’s Birthday! We ask the local students to help us get a cake for her and celebrate her 20th birthday in Wuhan. She did not know about the cake but it was pretty obvious we were going to give her a surprise as we are so secretive that she was suspicious. But it was still a successful celebration. The cake was big with lots of cream and it was delicious! Jean loved the cake:).

Making a Wish for the year!

Later, we went shopping at Wan Da Guang Chang! There are other shopping malls that are around it. There are many small shops in that mall, although never buy many things it is fun looking around.

Outlook of the malls

Entrance to another mall…

After that they brought us to a club where the furnishing is very beautiful. It is a pity that we are not allowed to take pictures. But we did not stay as the locals love to smoke a lot indoors and we practically unable to stand the smell! It has already been day 3 and I have not introduced the local students that we get to know when we first arrive. They are our local friends:

Zi Wei and Wu Di:

Li Ying and Chao Ran:

Day 4 – 7 Mar
Today we woke up very late as we were so tired the past few days. We went down to have our branch at the food street. The food there is always so tasty that we can’t resist.

Xiao Long Bao! Nicer than Ding Tai Feng

I can never resist the meat stick…

There is this little girl at our near our seat tasting the lollipop, and I was attracted to the lollipop that she was eating. Haha!! But she is cute too, and we called her to seat with us. But when we talk to her in Chinese she never reply us or said a word.

Eating her lollipop!

Look at me and Smile!

This is another kid we saw at the supermarket…

With a hole in the pants… I believe is for easier and fast relieve of the bowels…

We then went to another shopping mall which is open concept but it is so cold to shop there during this period. It is huge and it goes round and round. Surprisingly, I only spend money on a cup of black tea chocolate which taste nice and did not buy other things. But! I will go back there to get things before going back to Singapore. I promised myself:)

Chocolate black tea… Something special… and there are also other varieties!

Open concept shopping mall… freaking cold to shop in this weather! Not advisable…

Day 5 – 8 Mar
Our first lesson in Wuhan! Tired and trying to get rid of the holiday mood. The classroom was so cold today especially when there was no electricity at times. It means that heater not working! Also the coldest day compared to the others.

Lesson time!

SNOW!! It is snowing today! And I am really happy to see that and experience it. The snow was really beautiful especially when you see it against the light. Pictures speaks a thousand words!

I love the snow!!
