Day 39 – 10 Apr

Day 39 – 10 Apr
Today is the last outing with our local friends, so we took this opportunity to treat them buffet… The setting of the restaurant is like we are in the oldies…

They even have this area for performance…

This is where the waiter will collect the cooked food on the skew and served to the customers…

Our next destination is “Zhong Shan Gong Yuan”, there is a mini theme park…

Look at the games and rides they offer there…

You can fish while on the ride!!

We bought our tickets and prepare to take up the challenge… Ultimate Swing!

The next challenge is this roller coaster!!

It’s such a thriller!! It is also a preparation for me so that I will be prepared to take the one in our Universal Studio Singapore…

There are also monkey, tortoise and fishes..

Here we are… taking our last few group photos…

Later on we went to Jiang Han Lu for some shopping, and to our surprise our local friends do not know the night market where we always buy stuff at really low prices… haha… I really did enjoyed myself and will never forget the time we all spent together…

Day 37 – 8 Apr

Day 37 – 8 Apr
There is no program arranged by the school today, so I went to Metro again to do my purchase of local products… and on the way back, there is a road side store selling cute ducklings…

Day 35 – 7 Apr

Day 35 – 7 Apr
The new Wuhan University of Science and Technology campus… and there are the students welcoming us…
My buddy for the day! :)
The host had a welcome speech for us…
And our representative had also given a short speech in return…
This pretty girl sang for us… nice voice…
Heading to the school museum… talk about the history of this university…
An overview of the new campus…
This is the canteen, and this is the 3rd level…
The school is huge with great facilities…
Although the new campus is much nicer with great facilities, it is too far from the city. If we want to go out, it is very inconvenient. In conclusion, I prefer the old campus :)

Day 31 – 3 Apr

Day 31 - 3 Apr
The last excursion for our OIP trip, we went to the museum and “Dong Hu”… This day is also the Chinese “Qing Ming Jie” where families will gather and visit the tombs of their ancestors or passed on family member… Many of them will also take this 3 days holiday to spend time with their family. Therefore the museum is so crowded.

The museum is huge… and there are 3 levels and each level exhibit different categories of ancient items…

Here it goes, Part 1 of the ancient items…

This is a bronze crane with antlers…

This is made up of 125 pieces of musical instruments, which falls into 8 categories: set-bells, bian ging (stone chimes), drums, qin, se, sheng, chi and panpipes… this really looks magnificent!!

This is a suitcase with pattern of twenty-eight constellations…

Heaviest pre-Qin gold ware ever unearthed!! It must be real heavy and worth lots of $$...

The weapon the soldier is holding is known as the double-dagger-ax with replicated long handle and the armor he is wearing is made of a material known as “Jia Zhou”…

There is even armor for the houses!!

I think it’s really innovative and smart to have the blade attach to the chariot, so when the enemies horses come close, they will be hurt by the blades.

Powerful weapons… the soldiers life depends on it…

It looks so real to me…

These are the skulls of the different people from many parts of China…

Part 2…

Replica of a Qujialin-culture house… it’s the remain of a house discovered at Menbanwan…

Look at it carefully… what did you see??

Ans:

Dragon...Part 3… This is a city-site that was discovered in 1954…

This is a Gold Bullions, the inscription on the façade indicates its weight and it was made by the Emperor follower Yin Zuo Ju. He was one of the 24 court (yamen”) of the Ming dynasty and also he followed the emperor to move between Beijing and Nanjing…

Bronze mask… it is curved with E-shaped bulging eyes…

These are head ornaments commonly worn by the noble women…

The gap between each teeth is so little…

These are the boxes where the women will keep their make-up and jewellery…

So after the visit to the museum, our next and final destination is “Dong Hu”…

This is the famous lake and the water is very deep, and therefore we are advice not to take the boat ride… but there are many boats quoting low prices to attract people…

The store is handmade glass… the fire that melts the glass is very harmful to the eyes…

There are many things that are fun and interesting…

This plant’s root is weird and very different from the other plants… and it looks like ginseng roots to me..

Look at the sticks in the dustbins… business must be good!

So after the excursion... we went to Guang Gu to do some shopping... and Hey! There is a shop selling Singapore food… there is the Merlion…

Our ice kachang…

There is so much packing to do… and the days are close going back to Singapore…
